Kerry is currently raising her fourth puppy and has served on the Valley of the Sun Board for the past two years and Golf Committee for the past three years, chairing the Silent Auction Committee golf tournament this past year. Kerry is self-employed for the past eight years and has worked with non-profit organizations for the past ten.  She is committed to the growth of our Chapter, fundraising efforts and to further the mission of CCI.  Kerry is shown here with her current puppy, "Cynthia"

Liz Rosen-Ducat: Vice President

Liz worked at the  Exceptional Children's Foundation in Los Angeles as an intake counselor for a research program funded by the Social Security Administration where she worked with individuals with disabilities and getting them mainstream jobs in the community.  During ten years in Malibu, CA., Liz co-founded Marine and Mountain Life Rescue, a non-profit organization where she coordinated the wildlife rescue and relocation of injured seals, sea lions and dolphin as well as deer, coyote, raptures and rattlesnakes. Liz's daughter, Ilana, found CCI online two years ago as her idea to become a puppy raiser for her Bat Mitzvah project.  CCI has become  the perfect blend of  Liz's love for animals and desire to help those with disabilities. 

Karen Morairty: Secretary/Treasurer

Karen is a CCI Graduate and received her first hearing dog, George, in 1990 at Del Mar, California.  She now has a second hearing dog, Jada III.  Karen has been involved in many Chapter events since the foundation of the Valley of the Sun Chapter.  She and George were featured in the chapter's first fundraiser, the famous Diamondback Calendar.  She is shown here with her current CCI Service dog, Jada. Karen and Jada are the first graduate team to join the Valley of the Sun Board.

Mary Thompson: Puppy Raising Co-Chair

Mary and her family relocated to Phoenix from San Francisco in August 2005.  She raised her first CCI puppy in Northern California.  Since arriving in Arizona, Mary has been very active in many Valley of the Sun events.  She and daughter, Shelby raised their second CCI puppy, Denice in Arizona.  She is shown here with Denice.

Michaele Connors: Puppy Raising Co-Chair

Michaele has been a supporter of the local chapter for several years. She has served as the Member-At-Large board member  and has assisted in raising two CCI puppies.    Michaele is the chapter IT/AV go to person and has worked at most Valley of the Sun events in the past two years since her move from New Mexico. Rhonda Faul: Contract Trainer & Puppy Raising Co-Chair

Rhonda was a trainer for CCI at the Oceanside campus for 7 years.  She  re-located to the Phoenix area and is very involved in the training of our local puppies and raisers.  She brings actual CCI training experience to our puppies and raisers. She is shown here with CCI puppy "Ona". Rhonda is a charter member of the group.

Melissa Pacsi: Event Coordinator

Melissa moved to Phoenix a year and half ago. Her experience includes  Sales and Marketing Manager at Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant. Melissa has worked with many different non-profit organizations and loved every minute of it. She has planned special events for Gordon Biersch, local restaurants in Denver, and special events for Chi Omega Sorority while in college at Colorado.  Melissa was a great assistant at this year's Dog Days of Summer Golf Classic.

Bob Melikian: Member at Large

Bob and his family joined the CCI Puppy Raising program in September of 2005. Their first puppy, Michaela, graduated as a Skilled companion  in August 2007.  They are currently raising a second puppy.  Bob and his family have been involved with and attended many Valley of the Sun events since joining the chapter.  He is shown here with  CCI puppy Michaela.

Pat Lawson: Public Relations & Golf Tournament Director

Pat is raising her fifth CCI puppy, having raised 10 puppies for a different service dog organization.  Her first CCI puppy, "Raymond", graduated in February of 2003 and is now working with his partner in the San Diego area. She is shown here with her second CCI puppy "Bear" who graduated as a Skilled Companion in August of 2005. Pat is also a charter member of the group and was named CCI's Southwest Region volunteer of the year for 2005.

Cathy Pererson: Past President

Cathy has served on the Valley of the Sun Board as Vice President and  President and has also been on the Golf committee for 4 years.  She is currently raising her sixth CCI puppy with two graduates thus far. One of her puppies, "Myra" graced the front cover of the world champion Diamondbacks calendar with Curt Schilling.  She is a charter member of the chapter.
